How to use this blog: Signing up!

This blog was made to help us interact about art and share interesting links easily. If you feel a bit overwhelmed as to how to participate, do not fret.

First off:
You do not have to sign up for anything in order to read the blog. So, you are not missing anything if you have been hesitant to go all the way. However, in order for you to be able to comment, you will have to have a username. If you have been using the internet for a while, you have the option to use these different types of usernames,
GoogleAccount
LiveJournal
Wordpress
Typepad
AIM
OpenID

If you don’t have any of these, you can sign up for a "GoogleAccount" (=the username for this blog) through this blog.

How to sign up:
1.Through the Email I sent you
I believe I have all sent you an email inviting you to join the blog. The heading of the email was “You have been invited to contribute to Amanda’s blog”, so you might have been a bit confused. It is called “my” blog simply because I created it, so just disregard the fact that Julie's name isn't mentioned. If you can’t find it, it could also be that the email got put in your spam box. Once you click the link in the email, it leads you to a page where you can sign up. Since most of you probably don’t have a GoogleAccount, click the link “Create your account now.”
Once you are there, you can plug in the email address you want to use, and choose your display name (=username). It would be helpful if your display name was close to your name, so that we can all recognize who commented on what. Also, make sure to un-check the notification feature, since you probably don’t want to receive bothersome emails from them.

2. Through the blog itself
Once you go to juliegraham-art.blogspot.com, there is a thin grey toolbar at the top of the page. It says things like “search blog” (which is a helpful tool, but let’s talk about that later), and on the right hand side it says “Sign in.” Click this button, and it will lead you to the main blog website prompting you to “Create a blog!” Click this button - - this will sign you up, but you will NOT HAVE TO create your own blog.
Once you are here, you can plug in the email address you want to use, and choose your display name(=username). It would be helpful if your display name was close to your name, so that we can all recognize who commented on what. Also, make sure to un-check the notification feature, since you probably don’t want to receive bothersome emails from them.

And voila! You are signed up!
